At Confidence Dental, our team of experienced Gosford dentist and support staff work together to provide the highest quality care and a positive experience for our patients.
Dr. Matthew Cohen – Principal Dentist
Dr. Matthew Cohen is the Principal Dentist and owner of Confidence Dental. Graduating in 2005 from Sydney University with degrees in Dentistry and Science, Dr. Cohen also holds a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants from Sydney University.
His career spans multiple locations, including, Sydney, Bathurst, and Orange, and he has further honed his skills as a Senior House Officer in the Maxillofacial Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital in the United Kingdom.
Dr Cohen has worked in Hornsby for the last 10 years as a practice owner and dentist and is enjoying working closer to home.
Dr. Cohen enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a particular focus on dental implants. He is committed to providing comprehensive assessments and exceptional care to each of his patients, ensuring they achieve healthy and beautiful smiles.
When not at the practice, Dr. Cohen enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their two children. He also enjoys running with Terrigal Trotters, cricket, rugby, reading, and visiting the beach.
Dr. Chris Arndt - Dentist
Dr. Chris Arndt has lived on the Central Coast since 1963 and completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Sydney University in 1979. After working in Dubbo, Wellington, and Deniliquin, Dr. Arndt joined Dr. Peter Armstrong in East Gosford in 1980.
Dr. Arndt is passionate about all aspects of dentistry and values the opportunity to work with a dedicated team to deliver personalized care. He focuses on providing treatments tailored to the needs of each patient, with an emphasis on holistic care to help patients achieve optimal health.
Dr. Arndt enjoys staying updated on new techniques and equipment through continuing education. He has a relaxed, patient-centred approach to care and considers the long-term health of his patients a priority.
In his spare time, Dr. Arndt enjoys motorcycling, cycling, kayaking, gardening, and spending time outdoors. He values meeting new people and learning about their unique life experiences.
Sarah – Practice Manager
With eight years of experience as a Practice Manager, Sarah thrives on the challenge of ensuring everything at Confidence Dental runs smoothly and efficiently.
Her meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach ensure that both the team and patients have a seamless experience. When she’s not managing the practice, Sarah works from home to keep operations running behind the scenes.
Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her family and indulging in her passion for quilting.
Lexie Hunter –
Dental Assistant
(CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE)
Lexie joined Confidence Dental in 2016 as a full-time dental assistant. With her natural empathy and easy-going personality, she makes patients of all ages feel at ease during their visits. Lexie is also pursuing her Certificate III to expand her knowledge and expertise in dental assisting.
In her free time, Lexie enjoys waterskiing, boating, and listening to music. She is often found singing around the surgery.
Yasmin – Receptionist
With many years of experience in reception and a background as a dental assistant, Yasmin brings a deep understanding of both patient care and clinical support to our team.
Her passion for the dental industry shines through in everything she does, from welcoming patients with a warm smile to ensuring each visit runs smoothly.
Outside of work, Yasmin enjoys spending time with her family, walking along the beautiful Central Coast, and relaxing at the beach.
Jordan – Dental Assistant
With 8 years of experience as a dental assistant, Jordan has developed a true passion for patient care and strives to make every visit a comfortable and positive experience.
She enjoys the challenge of complex procedures, particularly implants and Invisalign, and takes great pride in assisting patients through every step of their treatment journey. Jordan has completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting and is currently finishing her Certificate IV, further enhancing her expertise.
Jordan’s commitment to excellence and patient satisfaction makes her an invaluable part of our team. Outside of work, she loves spending her summer days at the beach.
