Dr. Matthew Cohen - Principal Dentist

Dr. Matthew Cohen is the Principal Dentist and owner of Confidence Dental. Graduating in 2005 from Sydney University with degrees in Dentistry and Science, Dr. Cohen also holds a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Implants from Sydney University.

His career spans multiple locations, including, Sydney, Bathurst, and Orange, and he has further honed his skills as a Senior House Officer in the Maxillofacial Unit at the Royal Derby Hospital in the United Kingdom.

Dr Cohen has worked in Hornsby for the last 10 years as a practice owner and dentist and is enjoying working closer to home.

Dr. Cohen enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a particular focus on dental implants. He is committed to providing comprehensive assessments and exceptional care to each of his patients, ensuring they achieve healthy and beautiful smiles.

When not at the practice, Dr. Cohen enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their two children. He also enjoys running with Terrigal Trotters, cricket, rugby, reading, and visiting the beach.

Dr. Brenden Blacker - Dentist

Dr. Brenden Blacker is a dedicated dentist committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care with a strong focus on creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for every patient. Passionate about all aspects of dentistry, Dr. Blacker takes pride in helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalised treatment and a gentle approach.

Dr. Blacker graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Sydney, after moving from Melbourne to enjoy the vibrant lifestyle of Sydney and the Central Coast.

Dr. Blacker is committed to building long-term relationships with his patients and believes that clear communication and trust are central to exceptional treatment outcomes.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Blacker enjoys traveling, staying fit, and spending time with his wife. He also has a passion for graphic design and website development, allowing him to combine creativity with problem-solving both professionally and personally. In his spare time, he enjoys discovering new music, playing guitar, and exploring new places and cultures.

Dr Pooja Jagtiaani - Dentist

Dr Pooja Jagtiaani is an experienced dentist with over two decades of clinical expertise. She graduated from India in 2003 and later completed an MBA in Healthcare, combining strong clinical skills with a deep understanding of patient care and practice management.

She owned and managed a successful dental practice in Mumbai for over 12 years and has also worked as a consulting dentist across multiple clinics in the city. Dr Pooja has contributed to dental diagnostic care at medical camps organised by Rotary Clubs across Mumbai, reflecting her commitment to community oral health.

With a special interest in aesthetic and restorative dentistry, she is dedicated to creating natural, confident smiles through tailored, detail-oriented care. Known for her gentle manner and attention to detail, Dr Pooja is committed to providing personalised care tailored to each patient’s needs.

As a local to the Coast, Dr Jagtiaani enjoys spending time away from the practice with her family, whether at the beach, on walks, or relaxing with a good book.
